Like most website operators, EV Safe Charge LLC (“EV Safe Charge”) collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. EV Safe Charge’s purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how EV Safe Charge’s visitors use its website. From time to time, EV Safe Charge may release non-personally-identifying information in the aggregate, e.g., by publishing a report on trends in the usage of its website.
EV Safe Charge also collects potentially personally-identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses for logged in users and for users leaving comments on EVSafeCharge.com blogs/sites. EV Safe Charge only discloses logged in user and commenter IP addresses under the same circumstances that it uses and discloses personally-identifying information as described below, except that commenter IP addresses and email addresses are visible and disclosed to the administrators of the blog/site where the comment was left.
What personal information do we collect from the people that visit our blog, website or app?
When contacting us or asking for a quote or signing-up for a newsletter on our site, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter your name, email address, mailing address, phone number, information related to your EV charger installation or other details to help you with your experience.
While we do not require this information to browse the site, certain visitors to EV Safe Charge’s websites choose to interact with EV Safe Charge in ways that require EV Safe Charge to gather PII. The amount and type of information that EV Safe Charge gathers depends on the nature of the interaction. For example, we ask visitors who sign up at EVSafeCharge.com to provide a username and email address. Those who engage in transactions with EV Safe Charge are asked to provide additional information, including as necessary the PII required to process those transactions. In each case, EV Safe Charge collects such information only insofar as is necessary or appropriate to fulfill the purpose of the visitor’s interaction with EV Safe Charge. EV Safe Charge does not disclose PII other than as described below. And visitors can always refuse to supply PII, with the caveat that it may prevent them from engaging in certain website-related activities.
