Electrical Engineer – Design for Manufacturing (DFM)

Role Overview
Owns electrical system execution for ZiGGY, including power distribution, harnessing, safety circuits, and manufacturable electrical documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Own electrical DFM/DFA and system architecture
- Design wiring harnesses, connectors, fusing, contactors, and disconnects
- Design battery system and integration
- Design EV charging system and integration
- Support HV and LV system integration
- Define grounding, isolation, and safety strategies
- Coordinate electrical layout with mechanical and software teams
- Work directly with harness vendors and contract manufacturers
- Produce schematics, wiring diagrams, BOMs, and ECOs
Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Experience with power distribution and electromechanical systems
- Experience with batteries and charging preferred
- Strong documentation and manufacturing interface skills
- Familiarity with safety-critical electrical systems
- Comfortable supporting live builds and field issues
- Robotics, automotive, and/or aerospace experience preferred
