Founding, Overview and Evolution

Residential EV Charging

Founder & CEO of EV Safe Charge Inc. (EVSC), Caradoc Ehrenhalt acquired an EV to do his part to help save the environment. The auto dealer did not know much about how to get an EV charger or have one installed.

After going through the challenges of buying and having an EV charger installed, Caradoc thought there had to be a better way, and EVSC was born.

A stellar and experienced Team came together to move the EV charging mission forward.

The current EVSC team includes people who helped develop the first Tesla Roadster drivetrain and battery system, worked on charging solutions in supporting the launch of the Ford F-150 lightening, worked on electric trains, planes and automobiles, a company sold to Google, worked with companies like McDonalds, Sony and Toyota, the launch of Realtor.com, and more.

EVSC started providing residential EV charger sales and installations nationwide, during which it learned the ins and outs of EV charging and the many challenges it presents.

The company became a Top Ten Startup of the LA Auto Show AutoMobility LA.

Commercial EV Charging

As the company grew, EVSC started receiving commercial leads and began providing commercial EV charger sales and installations.

EV charger sales and installations clients include Hines, LADWP and Penske Automotive.

Around this time we were approached for the Jaguar I-PACE launch as there was no EV charging infrastructure at the launch event locations.

The company received a certificate of Recognition from the California State Assembly for implementing the first electric school bus charging infrastructure in California.

The company named a Top 15 Most Fundable Companies by Pepperdine University Graziadio Business School.

EV Charger Rentals

EVSC became the first company to provide comprehensive Level 2 and DC Fast Charger rentals nationwide and in Canada with the launch of the Jaguar I-PACE.

Since then, EVSC rental clients include Audi, Daimler, Nissan, Porsche and many more.

The company also sells EV chargers. Clients include LADWP, Lucid, Penske and many more.

Through the various phases EVSC earned a stellar reputation in the industry and became known for customer service, technical expertise and responsiveness.

Mobile Robotic EV Charging with ZiGGY

More and more customers and leads started asking us if we have a solution with the power onboard, and ZiGGY was born.

Since the ZiGGY reveal, ZiGGY has captured the world’s imagination, receiving worldwide press, resulting in substantial demand for our products and services including ZiGGY.
