Alabama News Center: What is your company’s overall focus and mission?

Caradoc Ehrenhalt: EV Safe Charge keeps people on the go sustainably by enabling the EV revolution. EV Safe Charge is a leading provider of flexible electric vehicle charging technology, providing end-to-end charging solutions to support the demands of the rapidly growing EV market. Our newest technology, ZiGGY, is a mobile EV charging robot that features interactive, digital advertising screens and more. This is a major breakthrough in EV charging as it allows facilities, shopping and entertainment centers, hotels, fleet operators, airports and property owners to overcome the limitations of stationary EV chargers. ZiGGY can provide cost-effective on-demand charging without the need for costly electrical infrastructure. ZiGGY’s digital ad server can generate advertising revenue for the facility and display customized information.

ANC: What inspired you to start this company? How do you want to contribute to the future of energy and tech?

Ehrenhalt: Wanting a cleaner planet, I got an EV. The dealer did not know much about how to get a charger or get one installed, and the company was born.

ANC: What attracted you to the Techstars Alabama EnergyTech Accelerator?

Ehrenhalt: The people and focus on energy and sustainability.

ANC: What is the No. 1 thing you’d like potential investors to understand about your company?

Ehrenhalt: That our mobile EV charging robot ZiGGY is receiving huge demand worldwide, signed LOIs and sales (demo/pilot).

ANC: What takeaways do you hope to gain for your company by participating in the Techstars Alabama EnergyTech Accelerator?

Ehrenhalt: New partnerships and investment.

ANC: What is your opinion of Birmingham so far?

Ehrenhalt: Love it!
